The few times I have had a brake grab it has always been a rear brake
and it has always been due to a contamination of the brake shoe due to
a leaky axle seal. Seems odd that oil will caused the shoe to grab
but I guess it is due to the small amount over a long period and
getting baked into the friction surfaces .
