When I bought my 3.54 rear end it was well over 10 years ago and  
Lempert was not yet making them. I don't remember what I ended up  
paying. 300-500 dollars.

I bought mine through a shop in LA (El Segundo) and the source was a  
mythical man who was a pilot (as the story was related to me) who  
would get these from AU or NZ and bring one or two at a time back to  
the US knowing he'd be able to sell them here for a profit.
