[Healeys] Generator Bracket

Can someone explain to me the appearance difference between  a Bj8 generator
bracket and the roadster generator bracket.  I am trying to fit an alternator
and want to
use the correct bracket to get the pulleys to line up.   I have read most of
the kit information but the pictures don't answer my question.
