In junior high, my daughter had to memorize all of the states and their
capitals. The teacher (also a coach) had a map on his wall with the 48
contiguous states and the city that apparently he felt should be the
capital. On a parents night I saw his map. Most of the states were labeled
correctly, several capitals were just wrong. I asked my daughter about this
and she said that she and some of the other students knew better, but you
just had to go along with him. The ones that didn't know better, well...
