Radio repair

Once again I turn to my e-mail friends on the list for help with my other 
love.  (my 1950 Dodge)
I need to have my 6 volt, positive ground radio fixed. I do not want to mail 
the radio any where.  Does any one on the list know of a place to take it on 
Long Island.
