Speaking of Woodpeckers (G-rated).
(Not guaranteed to be exactly as heard many years ago) A farmer had some
chickens and in order to make his chicken feed go farther, he decided to add
some sawdust to the feed. Adding a little bit didn't seem to create any
problems so he added more. Eventually, he was feeding the chickens straight
sawdust. One day, a dozen eggs hatched and he found that eleven of the chicks
had wooden legs and the twelth one was a woodpecker.
