Ned, I have the oval longflos on my BN1, they have a hle for the breather, 
don't know if oval is an option and I know you have a bigger carb on your 
six, but may be an option.

Option B would be to drill a hole of the appropriate size in the thin metal 
of the air cleaner plate and using plumbing fittings from your hardware 
store to make it work.
