It sounds to me like you have a 2-point (lap) belt that you are trying to
install as a shoulder belt. Keep in mind that basically ALL seatbelts on
Healeys are aftermarket installations. Except for those nice mounting
points on the tunnel, you are basically on your own. I suspect that most
Healey folks have only the lap belts (if any!). Usually, the outside anchor
point is just a hole in the floorboard with a very large backup washer. Bob
