Mallory Ignition Question

I am in the final process of hooking up my new Mallory Unilite Electronic 
Distributor and Mallory High Output Coil.  The Coil is marked + & - rather than 
SW & CB so which is what?  Also do I need to install a ballast resistor with 
this?

Ps...This is on my 56 BN 2 with normal generator but high torque starter 
using the normal bump start solenoid.
