| My fuel gauge has decided it does not want to work. I had repainted the tank and although I ran a seperate new jumper it is to no avail. Am I correct in the assumption (there goes that magic word) that if I remove it from the tank and reconnect the wire to the gauge and also run a housing jumper to ground that I sould be able to determine if it is working by then simply lifting the float and seeing if it registers on the gauge?
