|     The heater motor in the Austin Healey is a DC electric motor , the field
windings are parallel to the armature , to reverse the rotation of this motor
you would have to change the flow of electricity through the field widings OR
through the armature ... when you change your battery to negative ground you
are reversing the flow of electricity through the field windings AND the
armature , the motor will still run in the same direction as before ...
   The radiator fan motors on a MGB have permanent magnets , so if you
connect the motor   backwards you have reversed the flow of electricity ONLY
through
the armature ... ie . motor runs backwards , engine   will overheat ...
