That's what I did, installing a "Maintenance-free" type battery on the right 
side and using a Tupperware container where the left six-volter would have 
been, in which I keep larger bulkier spares such as upper/lower rad hoses, etc. 
 
BTW I assume that everyone knows about the Tupperware cake holder that fits 
perfectly under your spare tire--another great place to carry spares.
