Rear Axle Seal

I am in the process of swapping the rear gears on my BJ8 (3.90) for the
Lempert set (3.54) that I bought a few years ago.
I was wondering if anyone uses any coating or additional sealant when
reinstalling the thin paper axle-shaft-to-hub gaskets. The old ones came off
quite easily and I never had any problems with leaks. The o-rings will also
be replaced.
