I've found about 19 mpg for a BJ8 is about average. That is for sustained
highway driving, sometimes exceeding the posted highway speed limit a bit.
My unscientific survey is based on taking groups of BJ8's to more than a few
Conclaves with several gas stops along the way. I always look around at the
gas pumps to see how everyone else is doing. It's not a quest for ultimate gas
mileage but more a chance to see how your cars tune up compares with others.
