Loss of power

Last weekend I took my 66 BJ8 out for an early fall drive.  Unfortunately,
the car seemed to make a slight gurgling noise and had a very noticeable
loss of power through all the gears.  Before I started down the path of
pulling plugs or carbs, I thought I would ask you all (y'all for some) for
some much needed advise.  It might be something simple that I am
overlooking.  Any thoughts?
