I built a 30x40 with 10 foot walls and a 10x10 roll up door centered in the
front.  I have a 2 post in the forward 20" and a 4 post straight behind it,
although that one is portable. I've had pickup trucks and a Land Rover on
my lift, although that is rare. If I was doing a narrower shop I would have
had to go to 12' walls and pay the extra. I, do wish I had done 10' more
depth.
