It depends on the event. They're allowed 7 unmuffled events per season. The
Fall festival (K Cup) race will be unmuffled. My group's event, HRG with
the VSCCA, May 30-31 (Fri-Sat after Memorial day) is unmuffled. There are a
couple of Tune and Test days over the summer that are unmuffled as well.
The rest of the time there a fairly low (88 DBa if I remember correctly, it
could be 92 DBa, I can't find it on the new track website). Sound is
usually measured at Pit Out from the emergency services building, 20 feet
or less from the edge of the track (during non major event days)
