Hello All,
I am the proud owner of a 1958 Triumph TR3A Race Car which has not seen the=
track since the engine blew in July 1979 at Riverside International Racewa=
y.=C2=A0 Unfortunately the track is gone, but the car has been saved in a g=
arage since then.

The car was raced in the 1970s throughout southern California in SCCA and C=
alClub events.=C2=A0 It has period correct performance equipment and safety=
equipment as required in those days.=C2=A0 The owner-driver was John Kerr.=
He is a tall lanky guy and the roll bar with it's seat are consistent with=
his height.=C2=A0 Number 27 with SCCA logos.
I heard many stories from John about his racing days in SoCal at breakfast =
meetings with the Los Angeles based Triumph Clubs.=C2=A0I bought the car fr=
om his niece.=C2=A0
It took me about a week of tinkering to find out why the car had been sidel=
ined.=C2=A0 It ran for 30 seconds, which was 15 seconds to long.=C2=A0 Clan=
k, Clank, Clank.=C2=A0=C2=A0
I have a fresh engine in it and the OD trans has been freshened up too.=C2=
=A0 I am looking to bring this car back up to current vintage racing safety=
 specs.=C2=A0=C2=A0
I am an nuts and bolts kind of mechanic having built hot rods and street ra=
cers, back in old days.=C2=A0 I currently drive a 1966 Triumph TR4A, an MGB=
 and a '55 Chevy for toys.=C2=A0=C2=A0
Next weekend, Sept 23-24, I am planning on going to the VARA event at Butto=
nwillow, Ca. near Bakersfield and hopefully engage their tech guys.
Thanks for letting me join your group.
