 no, lack of line bore would not make the misalignment of the notches - lin=
e honing is a bit different than a line bore - block and caps get line bore=
d when made, it makes sure all caps and block saddles are in perfect alignm=
ent with each other / changing s cap requires a line bore to get them in al=
ignment with each other / the offset notches will not be corrected by line =
bore, they were obviously made at different setting when new=C2=A0

One of the mysteries of a big batch of GT6 parts and cars i picked up some =
years ago was a box of 50+(!) main caps, which i still have.Also got two bl=
ocks (with no caps), but why would anyone separate all these?=C2=A0 Nothing=
 to do but laugh when i discovered them.Box makes a nice heavy doorstop.

 to replace a cap, good luck finding a cap with the grooves lining up / if =
you do get lucky you'll need to get the block and caps line bored to make i=
t all work properly

I'm curious about the source of the offset.=C2=A0 Is there a difference in =
end caps from year to year on the 1300 or is there a difference from engine=
