I have a friend that has raced a TR2 LeMans replica out here on the west co=
ast for a long time. I think he runs 5" rims, 60 and 72 spoke and they are=
always breaking spokes. He always runs the skinny vintage Dunlops or Hoos=
ier Vintage TDs too. He also drives at a less aggressive pace, usually 3/4=
pack. I've lapped him a couple different times in my TR3. =20
The wires have a .090" runout spec as acceptable. I think I got that spec =
from Moss Motors. That's a lot. So don't expect them ever to be vibration=
free. They do look awesome and of course period correct, but to me, the c=
ontinuous maintenance is not worth the cost and effort.

know of are running wire wheels. There are very good reasons for this.
