Glen, I believe you are right, the steel bushes don't move or rotate on the=
 pins.=20
B.t.w. the nylon (Nylatron) bushes are ok and much better than the original=
 rubber ones wich had to be replaced frequently.=20

The sleeve locks down when the nut is tightened, the nylon bushes pressed i=
n the A-arms; the relative movement is between the steel OD & ID of the bus=
h.=20
Clearance between the ID of the steel & the pivot pin isn't part of the equ=
ation.=20

Or I may be misunderstanding the concern...=20

It=E2=80=99s been awhile since I=E2=80=99ve done this so I have a question =
about the proper fit of the steel bushing and the fixed cross pin in the lo=
wer inner support for the TR3 front suspension. There is about 0.004=E2=80=
=9D clearance between The new steel bushings I have and the suspension cros=
s pin welded to the frame. Once you install a control arm, you can feel thi=
s clearance as slop with that one arm installed. I=E2=80=99m assuming the m=
ajority of this slop will disappear once I install the remainder of the sus=
pension pieces and bolt them all together. But wanted to ask, does that cle=
arance sound right? Seems excessive to me.=20

Are there options to ditch the metal sleeve and nylon insert to get rid of =
that slop on a TR3?=20

Thanks.=20
