Action cameras don=E2=80=99t have great dynamic range so as Duncan says, exp=
ose for outside. With the Hero 6 and later things got better. By using a Her=
o 7 Black or 8 Black and exposing for outside you will see quite a bit more d=
etail of what=E2=80=99s going on in the shadows on the inside than with earl=
ier cameras. Less expensive cameras save costs with cheap plastic lenses and=
sensors that don=E2=80=99t do well in challenging lighting conditions like w=
