I have a TR6 box in my GT6. The only difference between the gearboxes =
is two extra flange bolts on the Tr6 bellhousing, for which holes can =
easily be drilled on the plate. the rear of the engine block is =
identical and the plate bolts right up as the blocks are essentially =
the same (a bit more block stiffening in sides of the later TR6 blocks, =
I think). Starter lines right up on the same flywheel.
Can=E2=80=99t speak for Spitfire.

Regarding the Spitfire: the starter is on the left side vs the tr6 & gt6 =
are on the right. Therefore the six cylinder engine plate will not work =
on the four cylinder motor. Between the early and late four cylinder =
engine plates they will all bolt on however I believe the later plates =
have an extra bolt hole or two vs the early 4 cylinder.=20
This is all from memory. Hope it is helpful.
