I get it, you folks aren=E2=80=99t used to anyone actually doing any =
clever marketing for vintage racing. Marketing is a scary and confusing =
word in the club world, and any ideas to increase participation and =
compete against other organizations would require a special committee =
consisting of all the people who are freaked out about the idea, two =
people who think profit is evil, and the person who came up with the =
stupid idea in the first place, who would meet three times over the =
course of a year and then wander off. This is not that. This is someone =
who doesn=E2=80=99t think it=E2=80=99s a bad thing to make money doing =
stuff.=20
A club would eventually decide on a ten-dollar discount, which =
wouldn=E2=80=99t provide an incentive for anyone and would piss off the =
people who didn=E2=80=99t get it. Sort of the antithesis of marketing.=20=
I had a conversation about some marketing efforts with some of the folks =
in SOVREN a few years ago, and then came to my senses and hid in my =
trailer for the rest of the weekend. I have some socially awkward mental =
tics which limit how much I want to talk about doing something useful. =
It=E2=80=99s why I=E2=80=99ve had to start my own businesses instead of =
working for someone else. I make a lot of mistakes, but I make them =
quickly and efficiently.=20
As a marketer, I=E2=80=99d say this is the single most clever idea =
I=E2=80=99ve seen from a racing organization since someone decided the =
wheels should go on the bottom of the cars. The incremental cost of =
adding another competitor is pretty much nothing. The future value of a =
happy customer is probably more than $10K. That=E2=80=99s math I could =
work with.=20

run two sessions on Friday and Saturday with their normal SVRA run =

a Sunday 30 minute Reunion Race and Fan Walk. Each feature entrant =

receive a Reunion Group photo and Hero Cards to pass out to kids so =

collect them and learn about your car. The Feature Marque/Group will =

the US Vintage Grand Prix, we are hosting an Triumph Reunion. Please =

activities like; the test day, enduro and dinner tickets. The Sprint =

will cost $100 but we will issue a $100* dollar check to each =
entrant that=20
takes the green flag in Sunday's Triumph Reunion race. This is a =

at being able to offer free entry to our featured groups. It's my =

someday, SVRA will be able to offer free entry to several race =
