Hi Jeff,
The 185s are a 65 series and the 205s are a 60 series. The 205s should fit your
rear fenders, especially if the wheel openings have been rolled. I would think,
the fatter the better/ faster if your race group allows them.
The Speedsters are a radial tire and the TDs are bias-plys.
The Speedsters usually require at least 2 degrees of negative camber and the
TDs less or zero.
I'd think the Speedsters have more grip than the TDs.
You can look up other specs and details between the two at Roger Kraus Racing.

Subject: [Fot] Hoosier Speedsters for a TR3 Question
Hey all, I'm going to need a set of tires for my TR3 for Summit Point. I've
been running Hoosier Vintage TDs for a long time, but am ready to switch to
the Hoosier Speedsters. My question is what size would be best, the 185s or
the 205s. I know most TR guys have gone to the Speedsters so I thought I
could gather some collective wisdom from the group.
Vroom, vroom,
Jeff Snook
