I think Kas covered that in the GT6 competition manual. Don't have= mine handy so I'm afraid I'm not much help. Kind of going through the sam= e exercise on my spitfire. Current thickness in 2.990 and I need to mill .0= 50 off to hit 12:1. I'm concerned about breaking into water jackets if I d= o that though. =20 Good luck. =20 Marty =20 Date: Mon=2C 6 Apr 2015 07:27:42 -0400 To: fot@autox.team.net Subject: [Fot] Head Thickness From: fot@autox.team.net Wondering if anyone can tell me the max I can shave off my GT6 head. Actual= ly looking for the minimum height of the head after milling. Right now the= head stands at 3.283". With a 2.95 bore=2C 2.99 stroke=2C .033 squished h= ead gasket and 34.5 cc valve pockets. The compression=2C as I figure it=2C= is 9.76:1. I'm looking for 12:1. The head is stamped V3119 and 308361. It's off of a 1970 GT6+ that we're = building strictly for racing.
