I run about 350 total advance on my full race motor.
I was once told you advance the distributor until the motor 'pings' and then
back it of a couple of degrees. I'm not sure if this is true with race
motors running on high octane fuel.
I run about 11:1 CR a D9 cam and fuel injection with my cam timing about
1070.
I don't know what it is at idle, I'd guess about 170.
