Full tread RA1's are a better rain tire. Full tread R888's are a better
intermediate. In the dry, it's drivers preference, some people love the
R888's, others hate them. Keep in mind Spec Miata's are in the 2300-2400lb
range per rules, so what whatever tire wear they see might not apply to a
much lighter British car.

I also believe the R888 comes in different compounds. The 13" size might be
a harder compound than the 15", best to check.

Another thing, the Toyos (and other road race compound R-Dots) will never
get hot enough for maximum performance at an autocross. The A6's and V700s
are purpose built for autocrossing.

As for the Hoosier A6's. There is a reason SCCA roadracers (SS and IT guys
use them for qualifying) and autoxers refer to them as "purple crack". ;)
