The problem is the solid wire from the windings out into the solenoid area of
the starter.B I put in a short length of stranded 16 gauge wire in the
starters I sell to eliminate this problem.

Yup. Had the same problem. One of the wires has come adrift and is B
separating when the motor is hot. Probably the stator wire, but I'm B
not sure. You can take it apart and solder it, but you might be better B
off sending it back to whoever made it for repair. If you do decide to B
repair it yourself, use a high silver content solder and a good high-
wattage soldering gun. The softer 60/40 solder won't stand up as well.
