Thanks for sharing the memories. Someone else was not so shy, namely Sean
Hyland (now TV host, perofrmance car builder, etc.). purchased it there. If
you took some photographs, I would love to have them.
My understanding is that Woodner operated the car as a privateer and had
limited factory sponsorship with getting competition parts. So you really did
not miss out on getting a factory works car.
{ The term factory works car seems to mean different things to different
people. Given the state of confusion regarding works rally car identifications
and UK registrations, one never really knows if one has the real factory works
car or a clever duplicate these days. )
