An interesting discussion re: the F1 commentators on CBS.
Up here, north of the 49th, we got the CBS tape delay version late
yesterday. I watched a bit of it, but as I saw the race live on TSN in
the morning, the CBS coverage did nothing to improve what was a
non-passing, predictable, fairly routine day at the office for Alonso. We
also usually get the SPEED coverage live if SPEED is broadcasting the race.
We also get, courtesy of TSN (The Canadian equivalent of ESPN), live ITV
coverage with their commentators, James Allen, Martin Brundle and Louise
Goodman.
The ITV team are very chatty, professional and knowledgeable though a bit
insufferable. They also tend to talk a lot about the Brit drivers, Button
and Coulthard. (Surprise, surprise)
