Very nice! Those look like 60 or 72 spoke wire wheels. If you decide to
seriously race it you might want to reconsider those. They are beautiful,
but most folks don't use them. Relatively easy to have them loosen up in a
race. The minilite-style mags look very nice on Devins. Good brake cooling
with wires though. The wood rim wheel might also get you in trouble with
some sanctioning bodies. Simplest thing is to use a foam cover. Better grip
anyway. You'll also want a headrest and foam on the roll bar and support
bar. Anywhere your head could bang. The fewer thing tech has to ding you on,
the better. Once they get rolling they're hard to stop. Remember to drill a
hole in your bar somewhere so they can check thickness.
Nice valve cover. I've never seen one quite like it.
If Tony Garmey or Bill Hart are lurking out there, they should swap photos
with you. Billy's got a very nice and very similar Devin that Tony wrenches
on. Bill Drives the bejesus out of it--has it consistently in the top five,
and Tony has done every smart thing anyone could think of to the car. Might
save you a lot of development time to hook up with them.
