At the last event I there was a guy who had several very small aluminum
jacks that he said came from Harbor Freight for $79. They were quite a
bit smaller and even lighter than the POS Harbor Freight aluminum jack
Henry refers to below. Supposedly they're rated for 3,000 pounds, the
same as the bigger ones. BTW, my POS aluminum jack from Harbor Freight
works just fine, releases properly, etc. Don

I was in Costco yesterday and saw a couple pallets of China made
aluminum
1.5 ton jacks bearing the Craftsman name on the box. They were getting
$129. I took as close a look as time permitted (read, not a good look)
and
it was different from the POS aluminum jack I bought from Harbor Freight
a
couple years back. I dunno, maybe it would be a decent jack, but I have
my
doubts.
