One note from below. It was mentioned that the hood and trunk hinges were
painted. As I recall, they were, in fact, initially painted rather than
chrome. I don't
know when the change was made from painted hinges to chrome, but
maybe it is so noted in Piggot's book on the TR/2/3 series cars.
