Trailer tires

Greetings Amici,
After returning from Willow Springs last weekend I found both the front tires 
on my trailer shredded.  Apparently some road debris got them both but 
thankfully it's a two axle trailer.
I enquired about the Goodyear Marathons per the lists recommendations and 
that's probably what I'll buy.  Discount tire has Carlisle 6-plys for 2/3 the 
cost.  Any body have any opinions on the Carlisles?
