Joe,

So pleased your brother is improving, long may it continue. As for me, well,
I can get from my house to the pub at the end of the road, it is only 800yds
and only takes me 30 minutes, the benchmark is set, now to work on beating
it.......

What can I say, on Tuesday some of the lads came round to see me almost as
soon as they got off the plane to regale me with all of their stories of
derring do and of your superb hospitality. Last night Jon Wolfe, and his
lovely wife Noreen, came to my house with an armful of gifts and momentos of
the event for me from you all as well as showing me their in-car video of
the all TR race, what a time you guys had.

When we started planing this a year ago one of your members said something
like "hey, sure, come on over, we don't even care if you beat us we will
still provide the Bass and Guiness". The warmth I received from my origianl
e-mail to you has clearly been carried through and I can only thank you all
from the bottom of my heart for making the M-O such a brilliant event that
will last forever in our minds and hearts.

You guys know how to throw a party, I hope we will be able to reciprocate in
the same way when you guys come over - am more than happy to work as your
point of contact if/when you do decide to come over.

Many thanks once again to all of you,

Take care, Keith.

  Keith,

Thanks for the note....it is good to know that you back on-line as the
reports on you were of severe injury. Your UK Crew was highly respected and
were warmly received.

(I tried to influence them with large bottles of liquor left on the table
at night, but they went fast anyway)

The TR5 overnight rebuild story will be told and retold until it attains
status as an urban legend. Incredible.

The offloading of 8 Triumphs from the special van carrier was like the
birth of puppies...they just kept coming out.

I came back to a brother who spoke my name and a also spoke a few full
sentences....remarkable for a guy who was taken off of life support for a
few days. Time will tell.

I think we had an unqualified success at Mid-Ohio. And I wish you had been
with us.

I hope to attend an event in England next year and have asked for the
calendar of events when it comes out. We have a few guys that have the
ability to transport their cars to England. I could start a movement for a
visit in kind.....seems right.

Hope you are on the mend and will have full recovery.

  Best Regards,

  Joe Alexander

    Hi Joe,

I hope that you managed to make Mid-Ohio and trust your family problems
are
    improving.

For my sins I have managed to put myself out of coming to the race now,
some
chap in a BMW took a dislike to me on my motorbike. However, all the
other
lads will be there and making hay no doubt.

Thanks for all your help in making this dream come true, hopefully I
will
    make it over another time.

    Regards,

    Keith.
