I usually just 'hang on and pray'.
I know that they say you should keep you thumbs out side the steering wheel,
in case the car's wheels hit something and causes the steeing wheel to snap
back. I guess some guy broke his thumbs one time, and that has been a rule
since.
I never thought about it, but I guess I have always kept the clutch in, to
try to keep the engine running. I am not sure what impact that action has on
the spin.
As I am growing older, I have decided it is best to just avoid spins.
