I WATCHED THAT RACE FROM THE PADDOCK WITH FRANCIS DREWS. I HELPED HER CLOCK
IRV KOREY. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A LAP CHART ON THE GROUP TWO RACE. YOU WERE
CLOSING UP FAST ON JACK DREWS AT THE END. HE SOUNDED VERY HOT FROM MESSING
WITH THE PORSCHE AND THE TWO LOTI EARLY ON, BUT YOU WERE STRONG AND SMOOTH AT
THE END. YOU WERE CATCHING HIM. RITA MANGANARO GOES FAST!
<< Don Brick, Dan Buxner, Bob Wismer, and Irv Korey all ran well for the

there act together. >>
DAN BUXNER RAN GREAT! HE HAS LEARNED SOME LESSONS. HE IS DRIVING WITH HIS
HEAD AND NOT JUST HIS TESTICLES. THAT'S IMPORTANT.
<< Mike Jackson & John Harkness elected to run their Formula Vees instead of
their TRs. >>
THE FORMULA VEE RACING (MIKE JACKSON, PHIL CULL, AND A COUPLE OF OTHERS UP AT
THE FRONT, WHO I DO NOT KNOW, ALONG WITH J0HN HARKNESS AND CHARLIE WILSON)
PROVIDED SOME OF THE BEST RACING EVER IN THE FORMULA VEE SESSIONS. IT DON'T
GET NO BETTER!!!
<< Bill Dentinger ran the Thunderbolt in the USSRC race but stood
down for our Group 2 race, for some unknown reason. >>
I RAN THREE SESSIONS ON THURSDAY'S TEST DAY, ALTHOUGH PROBABLY NO MORE THAN
FIFTEEN LAPS (SORTING THE CAR). AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, WE HAVE BEEN HAVING
T-BOLT TROUBLES THIS YEAR. I WANTED TO GET IT RUNNING WELL FOR THE WEST
MICHIGAN GRAND PRIX NEXT WEEK END. I RAN TWO SESSIONS EACH DAY (THAT'S
ENOUGH FOR ME) ONE GROUP TWO SESSION ON FRIDAY, BUT FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK
END I RAN EITHER THE WMGP SESSIONS AND/OR THE USRRC SESSIONS. I AM GETTING
OLD, JOE. TWO SESSIONS A DAY ARE PLENTY FOR ME, NOT TO MENTION THE THUNDER
BOLT HAS NOT BEEN 'FINISHING' THIS YEAR. I AM HAPPY TO SAY I FINISHED EVERY
SESSION I RAN AT GRATTAN. I FINALLY GOT DOWN TO 1:40 AND CHANGE, AND THAT
WAS WITH ONLY TWO BRAKES. WE DISCOVERED A MASTER CYLINDER FAILURE (REAR).
WE REBUILT BOTH LAST NIGHT, AND THE T-BOLT OUGHT TO BE A REAL SCREAMER THIS
WEEK END IN THE WEST MICHIGAN GRAND PRIX. WISMER IS GOING TO CREW FOR ME.
WISH US LUCK.
