Amici,

My pennance for not attending M.O. is that I have to keep posting to the
list... oh well.

So, I ordered two new Alfin drums from Charles... I got one about a week
later. Really nice piece too... the stud holes were even reamed out to
the .625 or so I need for my Moroso 1/2-20 studs. The other drum is - well -
back ordered and has been since 15 Jan or so.

At any rate, I have to put something on the car for drums, and I will
resort to steel/cast iron if I have to - but I thought I might ask the
list if there is anyone out there with a spare drum or better still a
pair that I could obtain for proper exchange of greenbacks or other
bartering tool.

I just tried 4 Auto Salvage Yards in my neck-o-the woods, two hangups and
a "permanent hold" were the response... one actually typed something in
the computer and said "no, sorry we don't have any". Another said "240
ZX??" I said "No, 240 Z, as in 1971". That was a hangup.

Go figure.

I think these places should still be called junk yards... or worse.

So - brother can you spare a drum...

Or can you point me to other car models that used alfin 9 inch brake
drums?? The TRF one that I got has "made in italy" cast into it. Hmmn, 9
inches... that's 220.5 mm... maybe I should call the Ferarri dealer.

NOT.
