Worked on the car some today - it was a totally gorgeous day here in Dallas.
I think I have it running a little better, but I'm still confused. Or, I
should say, it's confused and I don't know how to help it!

Its sort of idles, then goes rough and dies. But its much, much better than
before. Tried to get the points to open at the right spot. I think is
something is really off. I've got the valves to open at top dead center for
each piston, and the rotor to be in the right place. But it looks like the
points are just in the wrong place. They are opening after the fact, so the
spark is not what is should be. These pictures illustrate the various pieces
all at top dead center. You can see the timing mark right at the first one
(the angle makes it look wrong); the rotor pointing exactly to the #1 spark
plug wire, but the points are just opening and the "bump" where it pushes
the points apart to fire is in the wrong place. And I don't know how to
adjust that, or how it got so far off.
