try sticky tires, that will shorten the distance, yoko Advan 032's should do
the trick, or the trusty Azenis for street apps.
'Bimbo' might be a slam on the company, not a misnomer. Kinda like the Garbage
Pail Kids from the 80's, some of us 'cold war kiddies' like sticking it to the
man, and any marketing and advertising puns/inside jokes were fair game. Por
ejemplo, my brothers Capri was renamed one night after pizza deliveries to
CRAPI, he didnt see it for a month!
FWIW, I like the Bimbos, they really skreeetch to a halt, look great in hot
red, but seem to cost more than they should. (insert southern cal. blonde joke
here)

Better brakes just help with brake torque, and fade resistance. They don't
do anything for stopping distanceas long as the current brakes can lock the
wheels, which they can, you won't gain anything in stopping distance by
upgrading the brakes.
