If it's either the front or back pair check the carbs for fuel. Could have  a 
stuck float valve.

All plugs have spark, dist. cap looks good, no cracks ,wires look  ok.
Our friend who is very car savvy, but new to Datsuns  is working on it for

What should he look for in order to get this fixed? 
He asks about vacuum leaks? Blown head gasket? Worn cam shaft?
He of course wants to look for any of the obvious stuff first...he  just 
needs a nudge in the right direction. Thanks for any help.
