Had me going. I know the effort he made to get this thing right. It's good to
see that hard work and effort can be acknowledged on the list. There are not
many that have the resource, skill and talent to pull this off!

I got the license trim that I bought from Gerardo in the mail a few days
ago. I have been kinda busy, so I have not posted about it, but now the
time is here to share my thoughts.

I have the original license trim for my car. It has a few bumps and
bruises, but it can easily be put back on the car and it would be very
presentable. Even if it were hideous, it is the original, so that is a good
point for it. I have compared it side by side with Gerardo's and, well, the
original looks rather shabby by comparison! His is VERY NICE!!! The polish
job is fantastic! He spent a lot of time getting the angles and curves of
this piece right. I have not seen the other repros out there (have heard of
a few though), but the reports about them were so-so. If you have a 67.5 -
or any early Roadster - and you want to dress up the back of the car, this
would certainly do it!!

Rumor has it that a couple of vendors have some of the OEM pieces, or some
other repros that may not be as correct. I have heard 4 digit prices for
the OEM pieces bandied about. Well, I am here to tell you that if you have
a 67.5 and it is missing this piece of unobtainium, you are doing yourself a
disservice if you don't buy from Gerardo! Heck, at his price you could buy
a few spares for what the OEM piece would set you back!

First rate job!! I especially like the fact that this one is not held on by
cheap plastic clips like Nissan used. Bolts are much better and what Nissan
should have used in the first place.

(had you guys going with the title of the post, didn't I?!)
