Any synthetic lubricant will cause worn lip seals or rotating shaft seals to leak EARLIER than a straight petroleum lubricant. Unless a gasket is in the process of failing, the type of lubricant usually is immaterial. Have not used on my '69 5 speed --- currently have "misplaced" the bearings I bought for it. Redline markets its products well, but any name brand (Valvoline, Castrol, Texaco, etc.) product is basically same-same. Pete Koernig |
