YOUR STUDS ARE TOO SHORT.

The quality of the nuts may not be up to par, but the major problem is your 
studs don't stick out the wheel flange.  
IMHO - Minimum requirement would be that the studs protrude 1/2" or more past 
the wheel flange. 
 Ideally, the nuts would be open ended and the studs would protrude a couple of 
threads.
