I discovered the gravity method a year or so ago and find it works very
well. Since then I have started using a vacuum pump with a catch bottle in
line. It works very well and speeds up the gravity method. The brakes are
usually good the first time.
I also use the gravity method for filling the rear differential. I hang the
bottle upside down with a clear tube forced over the bottle spout and feed
the other end into the filler hole on the differential. Then I punch a few
holes in the bottom (now on top) of the bottle to let air in and allow the
oil run down the hose into the differential. It takes some time, but one
bottle equals one filled differential, so it is a clean method to fill the
differential with very little effort. The whole thing ends up looking
something like an IV drip.

Be patient and just let it drip in the right rear first, then left reaf then
front right, then left front. No need to pump -- gravity will do it if you
are
patient. Keep the resrvoir pretty full.i used to do the pump and hold and
close valve but gravity works better -- if you are patient.
