Blake,

You would have to talk to them to see if they would work on the
transmission, but Columbia Transmission on SE 11th has proved to be the best
price, excellent quality, and for a friend of mine they offered to really
stand by their work on his Mazda 929. They offered to tow it at no charge
from his home in Seaside because of a very minor problem that did not
require the tow to get the car to them. Returning the car for repair was
not a problem because my friend worked in Portland, 93 miles from his home,
and delivered the car to them for the correction. I have used them a couple
of times for Chrysler mini-van automatic tranny work. Their price was up to
1/2 what other shops quoted, and the finished product was great.

Assuming they will take the job, and you give them information about our
vendors, or supply the needed parts, they will do an excellent job at a
reasonable price.

Hi folks;

Just about the time I thought I had enough money set aside to start working
with the paint and body man - 5th and reverse have taken leave on my 69 2L.
Any one have any recommendations on a good place have the work done in the
Portland, Oregon area? I have looked at the alternatives on the gear, and
I think I want to get a new splined gear, but transmission work is not my
bag. I will probably start tearing down the roadster including pulling
the engine and tranny to get ready for paint - so I will have the
transmission out of the car. Any suggestions or ideas welcome.

Kind regards;
