Front Disc Brake Pads

hi everyone
i'm taking my car to the track in a couple weeks (NASA at California 
Speedway).  i want to swap out the stock brake pads in front for some 
performance 
(racing?) pads.  i've never done so and was wondering about your collective 
wisdow 
re the choice of pad.  i'm looking at the pegasus racing catalog and it seems 
that the HB104 (hawk), and the PF757 (performance friction) pads are the 
right fit.

1.  do i have the right pad?
2.  any thoughts on the compound?
