I've just dismantled (2) 1600 motors with the intentions of re-building best
one. One is a 3 main, the other a 5 main. My questions concerns the
camshaft - the 3 main has a '4' cast in it, the 5 main a '2' cast in it.
They appear identical (I haven't mic'd them yet). What do these numbers
mean? Are they interchangeable, assuming the bearings are within tolerances
of each other?
