clutch slave cyliner push nut

All,

I am missing the "push nut", the rounded nut that goes on the clutch slave
cylinder rod.  I need to get my car running this weekend and if I can get
away with grinding a nut to an approximation of round I will try it.

Anyone have any experience with this (or a spare nut for sale within
driving distance of Stockton CA)?
